Iranian Forces State Attack on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, During Widespread Military Operations.
Iran's military claims to have hit a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched operations across the region in response for a significant and continuing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone close to the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any damage is unclear and the American officials has yet to issue a statement.
Missile Defenses Activated
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to American military installations - reported they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their territorial skies.
In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry announced it had successfully engaged several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
IRGC Statement
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was striking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the attack on Iran carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That initial attack - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far focused on areas associated with the the regime, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.
Regional Fallout
In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE said in a statement that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the missiles with high efficiency and destroyed a several projectiles," the statement continued.
It said missile fragments landed in a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some property damage and fatalities.
The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
