A renowned South African radio and club DJ has been murdered in the nation's economic hub Johannesburg, sending shockwaves across a nation battling persistent crime.

Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras, was attacked in the downtown area on a Tuesday afternoon.

Officials stated the forty-year-old presenter was accosted by three suspects, with one began shooting at him before fleeing on foot.
